A.J. the Armadillo (2024)

A.J. the Armadillo is filled with anxiety about All The Things, All The Time! She hides inside her little armadillo shell at the mere thought of something new, different, loud, dangerous, or weird. Her friends Alice and Addison, however, notice her anxiety and teach her about 'anchoring' - small and simple ways to ground herself and learn to overcome her fears.

With the same alliterative cadence you know and love from Boz the Bee, kids will practice the 'A' sound all throughout the book and parents will have a new tool to help their little ones learn that anxiety is normal but it doesn't have to overwhelm you.

Accolades for A.J.

"This delightful book offers a terrific explanation and normalization of using anchoring to overcome fears and anxious situations. I hope my kid can find supportive friends like Alice and Addison as they navigate the world and its challenges! Highly recommend!"

"As someone who has suffered from generalized anxiety disorder all of my life, I wish I would have had this book to read. Grounding is a very useful tool and I wish I had learned it years ago.I will be sending this to my granddaughter. Good job, Stephanie!"

Buzz about Boz

Young Boz the Bee never thinks twice about his different way of buzzing until Boris admonishes him. Embarrassed, Boz tries to hide his true self until he sees Bella confidently expressing her uniqueness. Together, they gather the courage to advocate for their differences at the Bee Bop Conference where, to their surprise, other bees open up about their differences, too!

In a story told with a delightful alliterative cadence, kids will learn that it’s okay to be who they were created to be. Acceptance and inclusion are the keys to allowing our differences to produce harmony instead of discord – we can only blend when we feel free to BEE ourselves!

"This book was a hit with my two kiddos, ages 3 and 8! It quickly became one of our many important tools to teach our children all about equality, diversity and being kind to everyone. 10/10! I recommend this book to anyone with kids."

                                              -Heather L.

"I appreciate stories like this that show you how bee-you-tiful your uniqueness is. The illustrations are adorable. I follow both the author and the illustrator - it's lovely to see the colla-bee-ration."

                                                     -Kelly S.

"This book is great and I’m really glad we bought it. I’ve been looking for fun books for my young grandchild that teach great lessons and life-skills. I want him to be immersed in an environment at home that will best prepare kids to be happy, healthy, and confident adults some day so I thought that this would be a great addition to our library and it is!"
